Denise Richards Denies Fraud Charges

So just to recap last year’s drama, Brandi Glanville insisted that she and Denise Richards had an intimate relationship, while Denise denied the entire thing.

“I’m not lying,” she told the Us Weekly. “People can say whatever they want to say. Listen, it doesn’t matter because I know my truth and the truth is setting me free right now because I don’t have to keep this f*cking secret anymore. Because I hate [secrets], I just am not good at secrets. … I don’t like when I think somebody has something on me. It’s just the worst feeling. That’s why I live my life so out loud.”

In an episode of RHOBH, fans watched as Brandi told her costars Teddi Mellencamp and Kyle Richards about the interaction with Denise. She said the two slept together when Brandi visited Denise in Northern California for a podcast interview.

“I went and I was going to get my own room, but Denise said, ‘No, just stay here. It’s fine. I’ll get you a rollaway bed,’” Brandi said in the episode. “There was no rollaway bed. … [Denise’s daughter and her friend] were downstairs and we were in the loft and there was no door. And I just couldn’t get into it. The next day, Denise said to me, ‘No matter what you do, you just can’t tell Aaron. He will kill me.’ And I’m like, ‘What the f*ck is happening right now?’”

Denise continued to deny the claims, and eventually decided to move on with her life and rid herself of the Beverly Hills drama.

But if you are an avid watcher of the show, you’ll recall in Denise’s first season on the show, she and Aaron were living in a Malibu rental (which incurred a lot of smoke damage during the wild fires that year). They had moved there after leaving another rental in 2018, which was in Calabasas.

Last year, the owners of the rental, Anthony Ellrod and Christopher Masterson, sued Denise and Aaron for allegedly trashing their home and leaving it badly damaged, according to Radar Online. They added that Denise violated numerous terms of the rental agreement.

According to the landlords, Denise agreed to only have two pot-bellied pigs and three dogs on the property. The lease also had a clause that said the actress agreed to “properly use, operate, and safeguard the property, keeping it clean and sanitary, would pay for all damage to the property caused by tenants or pets.”

Instead, Denise allowed more animals onto the property that what was agreed upon. The landlords accused her of caring for “over half a dozen dogs and cats.”

"During their seven-month tenancy the defendants trashed the house and destroyed the landscaping, resulting in over $100,000 in damage,” the lawsuit claims. They are demanding $103k in repayment, but Denies and Aaron are denying that they are responsible for any wrongdoing.

“Denise rented this place out for a short period of time for a family member,” a source told Radar. “It was in a state of disrepair to begin with, but now the present owners, who are two lawyers, are having trouble selling it — and it is also across the street from a residential treatment program.”

In a countersuit, Denise is seeking damages for alleged pain and suffering. But now, they’ve filed to dismiss all claims levied against them in the lawsuit that was initiated by the landlords, including charges of fraud.

The landlords are currently claiming that the property value has diminished by $400,000, while Denise claims was because they refused to make necessary repairs to the property.

She also claims that the invoice submitted by the landlords had excess charges, and that the cost of the work is valued closer to $32,445.

Denise and Aaron claim they were not allowed to do their own inspection of the property or be present at the landlord’s inspection. The couple is asking that all charges be dropped so they can move forward with their countersuit.

And now, Denise is opening up about her relationship with her husband and how she feels about the situation.

“Happy 2nd Anniversary my ,” Denise wrote on Instagram. “So blessed & grateful to have you as my soul mate, twin flame, partner in crime, confidant, best friend, lover, best daddy to Eloise, & our menagerie of beautiful furry misfits, best step dad ever, most supportive of my career, I know my mom brought us together & I couldn’t imagine going through this beautiful journey with anyone other than you. I love you so much.”

Fans wished them well in the comments, but one question stood out from the rest.

“How are you handling The Mean Girls of Beverly Hills?” one commenter asked.

“Happiness & success is the sweetest revenge,” Denise replied.

Denise and Aaron got married in 2018. She was previously married to Charlie Sheen, with whom she shares two daughters. Denise adopted her third daughter while she was single.

According to Us Weekly, Aaron is unbothered by the Brandi drama.

“Denise and Aaron are doing great,” a source told the outlet. “They’re better than ever. They are really great together … They know [their marriage is] solid.”
