On May 29, Lisa Rinna was caught up in some very confusing drama. The reality star shared to her Instagram story a screenshot of a text message from an anonymous phone number. The message read, “Lisa you need to stop with your rumors and lies about me. There’s plenty I can expose about you.”
Because the phone number was on full display in the screenshot, the sender came forward very unhappy with Lisa for exposing his number. In return the man, Patrick Somers, supposedly exposed Lisa’s phone number as well. The two went back and forth for quite some time, and fans were genuinely confused as to why this situation had escalated out of the blue. He even threatened to take legal action against the Bravo star.
A few days later, Patrick revealed his real motives over the anonymous text message. “Hi I’m Patrick Somers, a private Marketing Manager for some of the biggest celebrities in the world,” he admitted in a statement on Instagram. “My latest assignment was executed against Lisa Rinna. As I never reveal a client's personal information per my NDA agreement.”
Although Patrick did not reveal who initially hired him, he admitted the entire purpose was to draw the attention away from his client. Fans immediately pointed fingers to Kathy Hilton, and believed she was the one under this scheme.
The entire situation eventually blew over, and nobody truly knows why this happened in the first place. But now that one dramatic outcome is swept under the rug in Lisa’s life, another is coming to the surface.
It has been known that the 58-year-old does not have the greatest relationship with long-time friend and RHOBH alum Denise Richards. In the most recent episode of RHOBH, Lisa admitted that she texted Denise to apologize for the way she treated her on the show.
Garcelle Beauvais didn’t seem to believe that Lisa actually did text her, so she took matters into her own hands and admitted she was going to text Denise herself to find out the truth.
The mother of two immediately took to her Instagram to reveal her truth. She posted a screenshot of what appears to be the messages between her and Denise. “I am deeply sorry for the way I treated you on and around the show. I hope you are doing well and I wish you and your family nothing but the best,” she said to the Baywatch actress.
Densie responded, “Thank you so much for your text. It means alot. I hope you and your family is good,” followed by a heart emoji.
Lisa admitted, “I didn’t show that on the show because I thought it was private but since I’ve now seen the show I thought we should set the record straight.” This comes after the revelation that Garcelle did not believe the text messages actually happened.
Fans were quick to provide their input on the entire situation, many ultimately still not believing the text messages to Denise were real.
Many were digging into the technicality of the messages trying to decipher if they were photoshopped or messages sent to herself. “I am not an iPhone expert but isn’t there a picture bubble over contacts in messages? This sorta looks doctored,” one fan questioned on Twitter. Another admitted, “I would believe it more coming from Denise. Rinna’s word doesn’t hold water with me anymore. Her credibility is already shot.”
Others believe that there was no reason for Garcelle to even bring up the drama between Lisa and Denise in the first place, as it was something that took place over two seasons ago.
Lisa Rinna Reflects on the 'Hardest Decision' Of Her Late Mom Lois
The episode was filmed in November of 2021, just after the 58 year old had to say goodbye to her mom, Lois. She died at the age of 93 after suffering a stroke.
The RHOBH star opened up after the death in confessional admitting, “My mom passed away in hospice and I’m still in shock I think.” She continued on to say “You knew it was coming but you want to keep your loved one alive, if you can.”
Lois’ final wishes were for her to not be kept alive, and was adamant about what she wanted. “No feeding tube, no resuscitation. Nothing.”
Although having to respect her mother’s wishes, Lisa was still extremely devastated. She said through tears and emotion, “The hardest decision in that moment was making a decision to not keep her alive. It’s really hard.” While the Rinna Beauty founder was reliving those last moments with Lois, old footage of the two were displayed on the screen as a beautiful tribute.
Lois had surely become a fan favorite on the show appearing in many episodes. She was always seen having fun, dancing, singing, and even giving advice and forming bonds with the other girls of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“The world loved her and to be able to have shared her with the world is a great gift. I hold that very close to my heart,” Lisa reflected. She was certainly loved deeply by many, especially her two granddaughters Ameila Gray Hamlin, 20, and Deliliah Belle Hamin, 23.
Lisa revealed later on in the episode that she was thankful Deliliah had made it just in time to say goodbye to her grandmother.
After things were settled away from home, Lisa returned back to her friends who were nothing short of supportive during this time - the women traveled to Mexico for some much needed downtime.
Following the aired episode, the RHOBH star shared a portrait of her and her mother looking nearly identical. She captioned the photo, “Tonight they do an absolutely beautiful tribute to my Mom. #RHOBH”
Fans were immediately active by sending their love and support in the comments. “When you said the world loved her you were spot on! Xo” one admitted. “We fans loved Lois like she was our mom too,” another fan revealed. Lisa pinned both of these comments to the post and was truly grateful for the kind words.
The mother of two also shared a touching poem about grief to her instagram story with words that of “Grief is not something you complete, but rather you endure.”
Lois would have been 94 this past week. The star celebrated her mother’s life on Instagram, “Happy Heavenly Birthday to our precious angel Lois.”
